Lesson #10 Add on Little Drummer Boy

In this lesson we are moving on!!  Please start by naming your strings, E  A  D  G  B  E, which coincides with strings 6  5  4  3  2  1.    Then, tune your guitar, or get help to tune it.  We will review with your previous song, then, add on a Christmas song, Little Drummer Boy.  Please remember that you can pause and back up this lesson at any time.  We are already starting to move faster, so you may need to pause and go over something, then move along.  You are really improving now!!  Print your song out and add it to your binder.  Good Luck!!

Lesson #9 continued-Extra Practice-work on Rockin’ Robin chords

Please make sure your guitar is tuned.  Let’s simply work on the chord progressions in the song,  Rockin’ Robin.  Having your song sheet, or the PDF in front of you will help with this practice.  You should use this and previous videos to play your guitar for at least 5 days to be ready for the release of the next video.

Lesson #9 Continued-More extra practice-Review your strum

Let’s do an extra review of your beginner rock beat strum.  First, please do get some help to be sure your guitar is tuned, or,  use your tuner, if you’ve done my technique video on using a clip on tuner.  If you want to match my tone in this video, I’m using an “A” chord throughout the practice.  We will go over the difference between having a smooth strum, or a country swing in your strum.

Lesson #9 Continue Rockin’ Robin

Let’s continue working on your new song, and new chord, D.  Have your songbook ready, with Ol Texas, and He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, as we are going to use them as your warm up for this lesson.  Then we will break down  Rockin’ Robin, and get started on it.
