Guitar Made Simple
So this is a song, with very easy chords. What we are working on, is keeping a good rhythm with your soft rock strum, and being able to speed it up. Take your time, to increase the speed of your strumming, slowly. If you try to play really fast early on, it could frustrate you. Also, remember, don’t strum from your elbow; you should be using the action in your wrist, fingers, and forearm, to create a fast strum.

We’re going to start working on a little bit of music theory. I will help you understand the spacing between notes in the musical universe, and how they relate to the fret board on your guitar. I will also teach you how to play the notes in the open position on your guitar. It’s take some work, but I know you can do it.

We are on the 4th song from the Gokelman & Kauffman mass settings. This is the Holy Holy. It is probably the busiest, of all the songs. There are a lot of changes, and it plays pretty fast. Again, be patient, take your time, and practice, practice, practice.
